By On July 12, 2025, NUM International College visited La Plantation, a renowned Kampot pepper farm in Kampot, Cambodia.
Founded in 2013 by French-Cambodian couple Nathalie and Guy Porré, La Plantation is committed to reviving and protecting this iconic pepper through ethical and sustainable farming practices. In addition, they are also dedicated to supporting local communities, promoting fair trade, and preserving Cambodian heritage.
The visit allowed students firsthand insights into the traditional process of planting and harvesting Kampot pepper, showcasing how agricultural excellence and social responsibility work hand-in-hand to significantly impact the local economy and community.
